Template – Lotus Temple

I think this might be my favorite among the templates I’ve made so far just for the sheer fact that it combines so many different things I like. That and it has a feeling about it that just says ‘flow.’ It almost makes me wish I still used Blogger full-time so I could use it myself. I might have to make a WordPress version if I get enough request for it.

Took me awhile to settle on a title for this one but somehow it ended up adopting ‘Lotus Temple.’ It’s like a temple for your blog posts. 🙂 Hope you enjoy it and if you download it let me know how it’s working out. I’ll even link you up here as a preview blog (free traffic)!

Very relaxing with varying shades of light purple and grey this template has a fluid but well defined style. Widgets seem to pop out slightly with subtle borders. Those of you who like to write a lot of long winded bits like myself should especially enjoy the scrolling posts. Probably isn’t the best template for those of you who write a lot of short posts. Loads quickly even after you cram the sidebar with junk (tested).

Template – Dogg-Daze

I found this image while looking for royalty free images and instantly fell in love- and let me tell you that’s really something coming from a cat person such as I. 😉 I knew right then and there I had to build a template around it and ‘Ta Da!’ here it is.

I’m happy to say I got the chance to try out some new codes on this one that I’d never used before such as fancy looking quotes (see preview) and a slightly transparent background. Definitely thinking about making another version of this one with two sidebars and possibly a few other quirks. If there’s anything you’d like to see or that you’d be interested in having changed for this template don’t hesitate to let me know. I like to try different things out. 🙂

Check out the larger preview- please! The scaled down screenshot looks absolutely awful. I swear the actual template is so much better.

  • No Blogger Nav. Bar
  • Slightly Transparent (see through) Images
  • Labels Not Displayed Beneath Posts

A very fluid and neutral template. Classy without becoming too… froofy with nice light browns and tans. Images and post/widget background are just slightly transparent to bring the whole thing together with a blended look. Great for pet lovers, tired writers, or anyone who knows what it’s like to have one of those ‘Dogg-Daze.’

Template – Days Of Innocence

This oneScreenie was immensely fun to make. Kei and I have noticed a serious lack of certain anime templates out there for blogger and decided to add one more to the ranks in order to fix that. This one is for the anime ‘Fullmetal Alchemist.’ It’s very cute. Thank you  Kei for making all the lovely images. They rock!

You can view a slightly larger preview of the header of the header below but please don’t use it elsewhere without permission as it took Kei two days of nonstop hour by hour days to get the images just right. You can view more of her work here on DeviantArt.

Note: If you download this template please let me know. I’m looking for a blog that will use this that I can link to for others to preview it. Free blog traffic.

A cute, lovely template with vibrant colors and a clean interface. Quickly loading despite the awesome header. Great for anything from anime blogs to your everyday journal. Enjoy!

CQ Here’s something new. Love my template ideas? Love my spaz? Love me?

You’re awesome. Why not put my brand new little badge thingy on your blog or webpage and show me a little love by linking it back here?

You know you want to.

cqsIf you’d like to add this button to your site but don’t like the color or need a different size just let me know and I’ll fix it right up. I also have a small version of this button that I plan on using a logo of sorts. It’s less explanatory but curiosity is good for traffic so I don’t mind.

Please keep in mind that these images and the saying “Where Typos Change The Wolrd” are my creation. I love to share but I also love to have the credit for the things I took the time to make so don’t forget to mention me. 😉

The Obligatory First Post

Many of my wonderful blogging buddies have been asking me to finally start a site or a blog for this thing so here it goes. Welcome to Code Quirks, the new home for my coding and borderline obsessive tinkering efforts. This is supposed to be my first post but I suppose it’s technically the second since I already put up one of my newer templates. There isn’t a whole lot here yet but that’ll change over time. I already write a ton and it takes time to come up with new templates so I can’t promise this blog will be updated as often as my others but you’re free to roam around despite that little fact. 🙂

Not really sure what else to say. If you’d like a template don’t hesitate to ask- I know I’m using the WordPress.Com platform but at the moment I’m only working with Blogger.Com templates and other small coding projects. I can code a lot of other things but I don’t want to take on any major tasks right now. If you find a template of mine you like go ahead and download it, if you need/want something just slightly different about it- go ahead and ask. I like a good challenge and I like finding ways to improve my design knowledge as I’m not a pro by any means. Merely a talented self-taught wannabe. 🙂

Well, that’s all I can think of. If you like to know more about me or read some of my writing (as I am a writer more so than a designer) then stop on by my blog sometime. 🙂 Peace out and happy blogging!

Template – Dark Journal

DarkJournalScreenWell, here it is. My first in a series of brand new templates. I like to call this one Dark Journal. At first it was going in the direction of girly and gothic but then somehow it ended up with a little class towards the end. This template was created specially for a friend of mine- you can see it in live action over at her (Nikka) blog ‘The Life and Times of a Stitch Witch‘ or by clicking the image above though I should mention the screen shot is a bit off color from the real thing and not nearly as ‘alive’ feeling.

Please note though that in Nikka’s version I created a horizontal menu- this download does not contain it. If you would like a version with a menu just drop me a line.

Installation instructions included with the template download. Happy blogging!

A nice roomy feeling template with plenty of space for those who need it. Easy on the eyes while still keeping dark undertones and subtle hues of color. The frame work of this template is based on ‘Minima Stretch’ by StopDesign.Com.

Welcome to Code Quirks- where typos can change the wolrd!

I'm still getting things together and spiffy up my designs so bear with me until I get all the good stuff posted, alright? :) Anyways, browse around and have fun laughing at my attempts to run around like a chicken with my head cut off.
